Here are the top ten articles for the Flash and Animation Site! These rankings are live and get reset at the beginning of each month, so check back often to see what your fellow visitors are most interested in!

1. Animating Color of Text in Motion 5
In the previous tutorial, we begin creating our Motion 5 logo reveal animation. We used keyframes to control the animated change in colors for the shape layers in the design. In this tutorial, we will animate the text.

2. Motion 5 Parallax Effect - The Graphics
In Motion 5, much like the Ken Burns effect, the Parallax effect is used to simulate movement of static graphics. The intro will consist of several layers of these graphics and by adding camera movement in to the mix, we will have a 2.5 D animation.

3. Animating Color of Shapes in Motion 5
In this tutorial, we will use keyframes to create a simple Motion 5 animation which turns the design elements on the screen from one color to another. This technique is great for an animated logo reveal.

4. Remove Movie Clip with ActionScript 3
Now that we programmed Flash to move our movie clip from the Flash Library and place it on the stage, we can work on the ActionScript that will close this movie clip. The easiest way is to create a Close button and add ActionScript to go with it that will remove our movie clip from the stage.

5. Where To Put Your ActionScript Code in Flash
In this tutorial, we will begin to explore the many ways to include ActionScript in your Flash project. I´m not talking about the many things that you can make happen with ActionScript but about how you can add ActionScript code to your Flash movie. The question is where to put the ActionScript.

6. How To Make A Flash Button
If you have been following along in the series, you are now ready to create menu buttons for your Flash website. We will create a template button that we will later use as the foundation to create your rollover menu buttons.

7. ScreenFlow Annotations and Nested Clips
In the last tutorial, you learned how to add text to a marketing video short and build the company logo with a combination of text and an imported logo graphic. We can use ScreenFlow’s Annotations feature to draw the line under the company name and complete the logo.

8. Button Behaviors in ActionScript 2.0 and 3.0
With the upgrade to ActionScript 3 in Flash CS3, I thought that it would be useful to program a button using both AS2 and AS3, so that you can see the changes necessary for ActionScript 3.

9. Opening an Envelope Flash ActionScript 3
A few of my readers wanted to know how to create the popular Flash animation which shows an envelope opening. In this tutorial, we will create that animation and program it to begin when the stamp on the envelope is clicked.

10. Adding Navigation To Your Flash Portfolio
Add the navigation buttons to the portfolio movie that is part of the larger Flash website that we are creating. Once we import the button image and convert it to a symbol, we will be able to add the ActionScript that will make the buttons work.
